SDGs related to the project
Project description
RARIK has adopted a waste policy with the objective of increasing the percentage of sorted material for recycling from 92% in 2020 to 95% in 2025. This will be done by reducing the amount of unsorted general waste that goes to reception and collection centres for landfill. RARIK's activities encourage the efficient use of inputs, the reuse of materials and equipment, and the responsible disposal of waste. Systematic efforts are directed at reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfills and directing materials no longer used by the company into channels for reuse or recycling. Unusable material is disposed of in accordance with environmental protection regulations to minimise negative impact on the environment as possible and does not contaminate water, soil or the atmosphere. By doing so, RARIK supports the circular economy and reduces indirect greenhouse gas emissions.
Objectives of the project
RARIK has adopted the objective of increasing the percentage of sorted material from 92% in 2020 to 95% in 2025. This will be done by reducing the percentage of unsorted general waste that goes to reception and collection centres for landfill from 8% in 2020 to 5% in 2025.
When is the target expected to be achieved?
The project is expected to achieve its target in 2025.
Measurement of performance
The annual amount of waste is measured in kilograms, and the percentage of unsorted waste that goes to a reception centre for landfill is calculated based on that information.
